Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Hackney.

Officers were called to Clapton Common at around 09:00hrs on Monday 4 September following reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian.

Officers attended alongside colleagues in the London Ambulance Service (LAS). The pedestrian, aged in his 70s, was taken to a nearby hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Officers from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who captured the collision on dash cam, or any witnesses who were nearby around the time of the collision.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
