Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, leads the investigation and said: “Despite the progress we have made in terms of the charge and arrests, this is still very much a live and ongoing investigation and we need the public’s assistance.

“We know there was a group of males, on foot or on a bike, in the area at the time of the shooting – we need to trace these people and I would ask anyone who has information that could help us, and has yet to get in contact to please do so with urgency.

“Were you in the area of Comeragh Road, Barton Road and Palliser Road towards Barons Court Tube Station between 9.40pm and 10.30pm?

“This continues to be a fast-paced and complex investigation as we work tirelessly to identify all those responsible for Janayo’s murder and provide family with the answers they deserve.”
