A former Metropolitan Police officer will appear in court charged with rape.

On Friday, 28 April former PC Jade Ebanks was charged with five counts of rape and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 31 May.

The offences are reported to have occurred between 2018 and 2020 in Ealing and Hillingdon and involve the same victim.

Former PC Jade Ebanks joined the Met in June 2021 and was attached to North West BCU before he resigned on Friday, 21 April 2023.

He was arrested on Thursday, 5 May 2022 as part of an investigation by officers from the South West Public Protection Unit. He was suspended from duty.
