26 January 2024 11:25 Appeal to identify a man for indecent exposure on London bus network Detectives investigating two indecent exposure incidents on London buses have issued two images of a man they want to identify.

Met detectives are asking the public’s help to identify a man in relation to two separate incidents of indecent exposure on London buses.

Officers have released two images of the man they would like to speak to in connection with these incidents.

He is described as having dark coloured skin, a black beard and long hair which has been tied back or with a black headband. In one image he is seen wearing a black coat with a hood pulled over his head and in the other image, he is wearing a dark green jacket and light coloured trousers.

The first incident happened at about 08:00hrs on Friday 8 September 2023 on the route 31 bus at Camden. The female victim boarded the bus at Avenue Road, Belsize Park where the suspect sat directly behind her. When she looked at him, she could see the suspect was indecently exposing himself. The suspect then put his foot out in front of the victim to stop her from leaving the bus.

The second incident happened at 04:37hrs on Tuesday 7 November 2023. The victim boarded a bus at Victoria Street, SW1 and travelled on the bus route 170 towards Roehampton where she saw a man indecently exposing himself with his phone in his hand. When she shouted at him the suspect replied “do you have a cigarette?”

Detective Sergeant Matthew Brown who is leading the investigation said: “Nobody should ever have to witness indecent exposure and experience this abhorrent crime when travelling on London’s bus network.

“We remain absolutely resolute in our commitment to protect women and girls across London. The Met is dedicated to targeting offenders, eradicating sexual violence, and supporting those who are impacted.

“If you know or have seen this man on London bus routes, please do come forward with any further information to support our investigation.”
