Detectives investigating the murder of Sean O’Neill in Hayes have charged a man with murder.
[A] Shakil McCrea, 26 (19.12.96), of Sinclair Road W14, is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, 25 May.
Sean’s family have been informed of this development.
Another man [B] who had also been arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed.
Police were called at 18:51hrs on Thursday, 18 May after a man was found injured in Reynolds Road.
Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. Sean was found with stab injuries and later died at the scene.
His family are being supported by officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, who lead the investigation.
A post-mortem examination conducted on Wednesday, 25 May, confirmed that Mr O’Neill’s death was caused by sharp force trauma to the chest and abdomen.
Officers continue to investigate the circumstances that resulted in Mr O’Neill’s murder and continue to appeal for any information that may assist their enquiries.
