2 June 2023 12:55 Appeal for information after man found injured in south London Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was found with head injuries in Burgess Park in Southwark

Detectives are investigating a violent assault on a man in Southwark.

Police were called at 06:55hrs on Friday, 2 June to reports of an injured man at Burgess Park, SE5.

Officers, London’s Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service attended.

At the scene a man had suffered head injuries. He was taken to a south London hospital. We await an update on his condition.

Enquiries are underway to identify the injured man.

Detective Sergeant Tom Dunn, of the Met’s Central South Command, said: “We are very keen to hear from anyone who either witnessed the incident that caused the victim to be injured, or anyone who thinks they know who he is.

“He is believed to be aged 30s, with dark hair, possibly of south American descent. If you can help please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
