A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of another man in Hayes.

[A] Leo Price, 21 (12.04.01), of Blair Close UB3, was charged on Monday, 17 July, with one count of murder and three counts of assaulting an emergency worker.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 18 July.

He will next appear at the Central Criminal Court on Thursday, 20 July.

Police were called shortly before 10:00hrs in Saturday, 15 July to a residential address on Station Road in Hayes following reports of a man found deceased.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. A man was found with a slash wound; he pronounced dead the scene.

He has now been named by police as James Donnelly, 45, from Hayes.

His family has been informed.

At about 03:30hrs on Sunday, 16 July, officers arrested a man on suspicion of murder. He was taken to a west London police station. He was later charged as above.

Another man [B] aged 51, who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and theft, was taken into custody and later released on bail.
