Following a recent media appeal detectives have charged a seventh teenager with the murder of 15-year-old of Deshaun James Tuitt in Islington in August 2022.

The 16-year-old was arrested on Friday, 16 February and appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court this morning. He will next appear at the Central Criminal Court on Tuesday, 20 February.

Deshaun’s family have been informed.

Work continues to trace another male officers would like to speak to. His image has been re-issued again today.

Deshaun was fatally stabbed in Highbury Fields, N5, shortly before 21:00hrs on Thursday, 4 August 2022.

Six other boys – [A] aged 16; [C] aged 15; [D] aged 15; [E] aged 16; [F] aged 17 and [G] aged 16 have all previously appeared in court charged with murder.
