16 October 2023 07:00 Appeal after man injured on Southall collision Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who can assist their investigation after a man was injured following a collision in Southall.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision in Southall which left a pedestrian seriously injured.

The collision occurred in Uxbridge Road at the junction with Greenford Road at around 05:55hours on Sunday, 15 October.

A man, aged in his 40s, was hit by a car while standing at a bus stop. He is currently in a critical condition at hospital and his next of kin are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene and enquiries are underway to locate this person.

A man who was believed to be in the car was arrested close to the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving; he has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who captured the collision on dash cam, who were in the area around the time of the collision or have any information regarding the driver of the vehicle.
