15 August 2023 15:40 Appeal for footage of stabbing outside British Museum A 36-year-old man was found with stab injuries to his arm and taken to hospital.

Detectives investigating a stabbing outside of the British Museum are appealing for anyone who may have captured footage to share it with police.

At around 10:00hrs on Tuesday, 8 August, officers were called to the junction of Great Russell Street and Museum Street following reports that a man had been stabbed.

A 36-year-old man was found with stab injuries to his arm and taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.

A man, aged 37, was arrested at the scene and later charged. He has been remanded to appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Monday, 11 September.

Detective Constable Jacob Morray-Jones, leading the investigation, said: “This incident understandably caused considerable concern to those at the scene and we are grateful to those witnesses who have already spoken to us and provided important information.

“We believe a number of people may have filmed the incident or the aftermath of it and we are keen to see any footage that could help progress our investigation.
