Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a number of youths attempted to rob a man in Hounslow.

Detective Inspector Tony Smith said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries to identify those responsible for this cowardly crime which left the victim with an injured shoulder.

“At this stage, we have made four arrests but we are continuing to investigate this incident so that we have as much evidence as possible to take forward.

“I would urge anyone who either witnessed this, or has information that could assist us, to please make contact.”

Police were called at about 19:00hrs on Saturday, 9 September to Hibernia Road to reports that a man, aged in his 60s, had been injured.

Officers attended and were informed that a number of youths had attempted to rob the man before running away.

Detectives from the West Area BCU are investigating, and have carried out a number of enquiries including a review of CCTV.

Four teenage males have been arrested in connection with the investigation. They have all been bailed pending further enquiries.
