11 September 2023 08:53 Witnesses and footage sought following serious collision in Hackney Detectives are appealing for witnesses and any road users with footage following a collision which left a cyclist critically injured in Hackney.

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a collision in Hackney.

Officers were called at approximately 19:40hrs on Sunday, 10 September to reports of a cyclist injured following a road traffic collision in Kenworthy Road, E9.

The cyclist – a man aged in his 20s – was taken to hospital for treatment; he remains there in a critical condition. His next of kin have been informed.

He was injured after being struck by a car which then collided with another vehicle.

The driver of the car – a 24-year-old woman – was arrested on suspicion of causing GBH by dangerous driving. She remains in custody.

Road closures were put in place while the incident was dealt with; these have now been lifted.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
