This circular replaces all references to the old Senior Police National Assessment Centre and the Strategic Command Course and takes effect on 1 July 2024.

From 1 July 2024 onwards, people applying to become a chief officer must have satisfactorily completed the Police Leadership Programme: Stage 5 (Executive leaders) (“Executive leaders programme”).
