Image released after woman sexually assaulted on-board train – Kent

Detectives investigating a sexual assault on-board a train between Ashford International and Rye railway stations are releasing an image in connection.

At around 11.30am on 27 May, the victim was travelling to Camber Sands with three friends.

As part of the journey they boarded a service from Ashford to Rye and stood in the train’s carriage. A man was also stood in the carriage and during the journey he sexually assaulted the victim.  

When the train arrived at Rye, the man put on a black surgical mask and ran out of the station.

Detectives believe the man in the image may have information which could help their investigation.
