25 March 2024 22:20 Witnesses sought following serious collision in Walthamstow Detectives are appealing for witnesses and road users with footage following a collision that left four people seriously injured in Walthamstow.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision in Waltham Forest which left four people seriously injured.

The collision occurred in Hoe Street, junction with Grove Road, E17 at around 19:10hrs on Sunday, 24 March.

Two cars collided head on and left four occupants of one car with serious injuries. Two of the occupants are currently in a critical condition at hospital while the other two received serious injuries but are not in a life threatening condition. The next of kin of all injured parties are aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the offending car was reported to have ran off from the scene and enquiries are under way to locate this person.

A woman, who was found in the suspect car, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving; she has been interviewed and bailed while further enquiries take place.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who captured the collision on dash cam, who were in the area around the time of the collision, or have any information regarding the driver of the vehicle.
