15 December 2023 10:40 UPDATE: No further proceedings against armed officer The Met has responded following an update from the Independent Office for Police Conduct

We welcome an update we have received from the Independent Office for Police Conduct that they have decided that armed officer PC Paul Fisher will face no further conduct or performance proceedings.

PC Fisher was found not guilty, following a trial in November 2023, of dangerous driving in connection with a collision en route to a terrorist attack in Streatham in February 2020 when Sudesh Amman stabbed two members of the public.

Following the end of the trial the IOPC, as is routine, has reviewed next steps and decided that no further action will be taken.

Commander Claire Smart, said: “This is great news to receive and I know that it is a huge relief for both officers.”
